I am trying to catch up to today because I got so behind. Hopefully the pictures explain what has been going on during this month! Here is a summary....Brayden finally started eating solid foods, praise the Lord! It has been a battle, however we are making a small amount of progress. Some days are better than others, and it's all going in the right direction. Brayden had his first haircut, that was fun, he looked like such a big boy when he was done. We celebrated Brad's 29th birthday! We took an afternoon to go to the Coast Guard Festival with Daryl, Katie and Luke on beautiful sunny Sunday afternoon. The kids had so much fun together. We walked the pier, got wet by the waves splashing us! We then went to Culver's and had dinner, and then went and swam in Daryl's Mom's pool. Brayden actually had a really fun time swimming for the first time in a warm 80 degree pool. And of course during July we did more swimming in the mini pool on the deck. Brad noticed the the cool sky one warm night and went out to see and the blue sky was peeking through all of the whispy white clouds. Brad had the idea to take Brayden out, and take a picture of his face with his bright blue eyes against the sky....and what did we get? The best picture ever! I just love how his eyes just pop with the blue sky behind him. I love how it's just his bare skin so there's no distractions, you just see blue! Then Mom and I went to Breakfast on the Farm in Zeeland. It was a cold, misty morning, however we had lots of fun! We enjoyed a hayride to the barns and breakfast. Then we walked around the farm, seeing a lot of cows. The first barn we went to was a calf barn, they were only 2 weeks old or younger. Brayden was loving it. We were able to get down to the same level as the calfs and Brayden could not stop smiling. We stopped to see one calf eating and Brayden was able to pet his face. Then we moved around to the side of the barn and this calf Brayden was just petting followed him. He then stuck his fingers out and the calf started sucking Brayden's fingers! It was so awesome. Brayden was loving it.
